![]() The front desk clerk said she thought that all the old books were replaced. We were finally able to get our message on checkout. They sent up one of their staff and he couldn't figure it out. ![]() We called the operator and she had no clue. The instructions in the room's guest book were from the days of the Passport Buffet and Chart Room Restaurant when it was the Argosy. The rooms were clean and refurbished - the phone system wasn't. The bed was so comfortable that I went right back to sleep. The 3:00 AM freight train announcing it's arrival at every crossing in Lawrenceburg was a bit disconcerting. Since it was a freebie, it was one of the rooms next to the railroad track. The coffee/tea set up in the lobby is really nice. The front desk staff is friendly and professional. After a struggle, my husband was able to get the door open and they gave us another room that was as nice, but without the door problem thanks to Whitney. However, the closet door was stuck after I had put some clothes in there. We checked in on a Tuesday afternoon and our special request room was ready. We recently spent a couple of (free) nights at the hotel.
